Caribbean-American Heritage Month launch in Missouri

    Kansas City/June 8, 2022/CMM Inc…. The Authentic Caribbean Foundation will launch Caribbean-American Heritage Month (CHM) in Kansas City, Missouri on June 10, 2022, at 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Billed as “Caribbean American Cultural Extravaganza” (The Caribbean Experience, the event and launch will be held at First Baptist Church, 100 West Red Bridge Road, Kansas City, MO 64114.

     

    The launch, organized in partnership with the Institute of Caribbean Studies (Washington DC) will highlight the Diaspora Community in the state of Missouri. This event is yet another event across the USA, heralding the rich heritage of Caribbean-Americans and their multi-cultural background.  

     

    This will be the 17th year since the proclamation of National Caribbean-American Heritage Month in the United States. 
    The Caribbean community in Missouri will showcase their vibrant heritage through the music, food and lifestyle of the Caribbean, as well as celebrate the personal and professional achievements of Caribbean-Americans across the state and the USA. 
     
    “It is no secret that Caribbean-Americans have contributed to every facet of American life and we are proud to highlight that during Caribbean-American Heritage Month. As the Caribbean-American population in the state of Missouri grows, events like these will serve to strengthen their presences and advance their cause,” said Andrew Sharpe, CEO and Founder of the Authentic Caribbean Foundation.

    The Authentic Caribbean Foundation (ACF) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, based in Boston, geared towards transforming the lives of Caribbean children impacted by disabilities and HIV/AIDS and assisting caregivers and institutions.
     
    The Authentic Caribbean Foundation was established in November 2012 and seeks to eliminate poverty through the development of community tourism and other self-sustaining opportunities in the disability and HIV/IDSAIDS affected communities.
