Thursday 7th July 2022 -- Following Shawn Richards’ bell ringing stunt on Wednesday night, a PLP spokesman described it as, “the immature act of a man not ready or suitable to lead the country.”
Richards rang a bell in a stunt mimicking the traditional starting gun on a General Election campaign.
A PLP spokesperson said, “Shawn Richards enjoys labelling himself as the next Prime Minister. But this was the immature act of a man not ready or suitable to lead the country. He lacks the seriousness required to be Prime Minister.”
Richards is also known to have not turned up for Cabinet meetings for over 90 days while serving in the PLP-led Government of Dr Timothy Harris.
The PLP spokesperson added, “Being Prime Minister is a full time job, demanding long hours. With global economic storm clouds on the horizon, now isn’t the time for lazy leadership. We require a serious and experienced Prime Minister.
“Before they cast their vote, citizens should be fully aware of Richards’ record of not turning up to work.”
