Team for Commonwealth Games announced

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Federation’s flag will be flown at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England beginning on July 28, when the local contingent touches down in the United Kingdom.
     
    A 10-member contingent will travel to the Games and represent St. Kitts and Nevis in two disciplines - volleyball and athletics.
     
    In a media statement, the St. Kitts-Nevis Olympic Committee disclosed that the July 28-Aug. 8 Games would be St. Kitts and Nevis’ 10th appearance, and would see the team being led by the Chef de Mission, Mr Leroy Greene, and General Team Manager Lester Hanley. 
     
    In the athletics arena, Amya Clarke,  Warren Hazel, Nadale Buntin, and Kizan David will go for medals; and on the beach, the pair of St. Clair Hodge and Shawn Seabrookes will go all out to show they are no walkover and come away with a medal for the Federation.
     
    Team Officials will be Roatter Johnson  in athletics, and Richard Swan in Beach Volleyball. 
     
    The team will be engaged in competitions on the following dates: 
    • Athletics - 2nd August to 7th August 2022 
    • Beach Volleyball - 30th July to 7th August 2022.

     

    The SKNOC/CGA has extended best wishes, safe travels and much success to Team St. Kitts and Nevis.
