Press Release

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SINGER, songwriter and athlete Kervin ‘Infamus’ Benjamin is taking over the airwaves and YouTube once more with his new single and music video - ‘Feel Like Crying’. ‘Feel Like Crying’ is a love song inspired by real life situations in which the artiste pours his heart out to his lover.

The song also solidifies the 20-year-old singer’s status as one of the premiere artistes in the Federation, who produces music that captures the very depths of listeners’ souls, evoking emotions like none other. His ability to fuse the new sound of Reggae with dancehall and R&B music shows the artiste’s versatility in music.

The ‘Feel Like Crying’ music video was shot by the talented and visionary Kittitian producer, Nigel Lewis of Tru Capo Networks and Video Editor of SKNVibes, who is popularly known as Capo. Lewis is not a year old in producing music videos but his works over the past several months have come in for high praise, as his videos are unmatched.

Benjamin said that he is very pleased with the video, as he was very involved in the direction and concept of it. “I think it was executed well and all who were involved did a great job,” he said. “I have worked with Nigel Lewis in the past for my first music video, ‘21 Gun Salute’, and knew of his capabilities and trusted his vision for this video, as he knew exactly what I wanted to depict.”

Meanwhile, it has only been 24 hours since the song was released on YouTube and it has already received over 1 000 views; an exceptional amount in such a short time.

“I’m just giving thanks for life and for all the support I have been receiving so far. My feelings about the love and support that have been shown to me by these beautiful people I call my fans cannot be expressed in words. “It is not a worldly feeling, but spiritually felt and also a mutual feeling in a way.

People would express they are inspired by my music, when in fact I am inspired by the people and their ‘true life’ journey. It is all about life and times, and I am thankful to the people for inspiring me to do what I do,” he said.

The musical accompaniment for ‘Feel Like Crying’ was created by SKNVibes Chief Operations Officer Cliff Richards of Yardtune Productions.

It was recorded at Yardtune Studio. Some of the scenes in the video include a beach scene, a rain forest and shots at the home of Scott and Connie Jaynes of Sundance Ridge in Frigate Bay. Benjamin extended his gratitude to all those who contributed to the video, including Island Hopper, Valencia Grant, Paulette Warner, Pilly Gumbs and the Jaynes.

‘Feel Like Crying’ is Benajmin’s second music video following the ‘21 Gun Salute (We Miss You)’ video that was released in August. Benjamin is currently preparing for a number of gigs during the Carnival season, including The Jah Cure Concert slated for December 4.
