….suspect on the run
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A manhunt is on to locate Marlin Andres Novas, a Dominican Republic national, who was residing in the Federation, in connection with Friday night’s (Sept. 9) hit and run traffic accident.
In their report, police confirmed that dead is Sewdat Pichaya, a Guyanese national, who was struck while in the St. Peter’s area.
Details released revealed that around 21:10hrs on Friday, in the vicinity of Love at First Bite Bar, located at St. Peter’s, St. Kitts, a fatal traffic accident occurred.
It was alleged that Novas, who drove motor vehicle PB2456 at the time, collided with pedestrian Pichaya.
Pichaya died on the spot and police noted that the suspect then fled the scene.
Photos circulated on social media on Friday showed the dead man lying on the grass bank of the area as police were piecing their theory together.
Since then, the police have not located the Fort Thomas Road, McKnight resident, who they believe has departed St. Kitts “on a go-fast boat to St. Maarten”.
