Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 19, 2022 (SKNIS): Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela H.E. Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa has congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs for St. Kitts and Nevis, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas on the occasion of St. Kitts and Nevis’ 39th Anniversary of Independence on September 19.

In a congratulatory message addressed to Dr. Douglas, the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela said:
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and on my own, I extend my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the celebration today of the 39th Anniversary of the Independence of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. On this jubilant day, it is necessary to remember the values of the men and women who in 1983 achieved their -emancipation within the framework of the popular struggles for decolonization, together along with the tireless efforts of patriots such as the great leader and national hero Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw.

“Dear friend, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela highlights the principles that bring us closer as brotherly people, and thanks you for accompanying the Bolivarian legacy of Latin America and Caribbean Unity, and the Eternal Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chavez Frias, reflected today in the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Petrocaribe, and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
“I bid you farewell, expressing my wishes to pursue joining efforts to continue strengthening the ties of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, social and energy fields.”
