MyCash and Mastercard partner to bring digital payment solutions to empower communities in the Caribbean

    Bridgetown, Barbados. October 5, 2022 – Communities across the Caribbean will soon be able to increase their access to empowering financial tools that enable digital payments and cashless transactions. MyCash, a digital wallet that allows people to manage their cash easily, conveniently, and securely, and Mastercard announced their partnership during the 2022 Fintech Islands conference in Barbados. 

     

    Recently launched in Jamaica and operating in Haiti as MonCash, MyCash's objective is to ease the pain points for people to access the financial system and take advantage of it. 

     

    Available via an app, phone menu and in the future, via the web, the digital wallet has an effortless sign up process. It also features a suite of services that make it very convenient for users to cash in, cash out or hold money, perform transactions between MyCash users and non-users, make bill payments and merchant payments and purchase top ups - all within a secure environment where the users’ data and cash are protected giving optimum peace of mind.  

     

    With the purpose of driving people toward financial innovation and bringing them into an era where financial technology is at their fingertips, MyCash is a Caribbean regional product from Digicel Financial Services. Now available in two markets, both MyCash and Mastercard are working on launching in other islands in the region.
