Dunrod’s autopsy findings released

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have released the findings of the autopsy that was performed on the body of 20-year-old Alisha Dunrod, who died on October 7 following an altercation in Basseterre.
Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez concluded that the Sprott Street, Basseterre resident’s death was as a result of “hypovolemic shock due to the section of the left subclavian artery as a consequence of a stab wound to the left supraclavicular fossa”.
On Monday, October 03, 2022 police received a report that a young woman was stabbed and needed assistance.
Their investigations revealed that Dunrod was injured during an altercation and she was transported to the JNF General Hospital via the Emergency Medical Service (EMS).
She was pronounced dead at the hospital and an individual has since been taken into custody to assist the police with their investigations into the matter.
