Cultural Music Festival Returns for Culture & Tourism Month 2022
Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, 11th November 2022 ? 25th November will be an evening of spectacular cultural entertainment when a collage of bands from Anguilla, Nevis, and several villages around the British Virgin Islands takes the stage at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park. The evening’s celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a brief opening ceremony and will be one of the highlights of the celebration of Culture & Tourism Month 2022.
The evening will headline two cultural bands from the neighbouring region, Took and the Boys from Anguilla and Sugar Hill String Band from Nevis. A mix of local fungi bands will also perform including, Leon and the Hot Shots, The Lashing Dogs, Zion Sounds, The Razor Blades, 4 Strong International, and Cedar School Fungi Band. Other local primary school fungi bands will also appear in the line-up.
“As a lover of music and culture and in my official capacity, I am proud to lead the return of the BVI’s premier cultural music showcase, the Fungi Fest,” said Honourable Alvera Maduro-Caines, Junior Minister for Tourism and Culture.
One of the evening’s highlights will be the lightning of a 30 ft Christmas tree at 7:00 p.m. presented by the Rotary Club of Central Road Town.
