Parson Ground man killed in Dieppe Bay

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A 35-year-old male resident of Parson Ground was shot and killed in Dieppe Bay last evening (Nov. 25) and police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his demise.

     

    A police press release gave the man’s name as Alvin Romney and stated that his motionless body was found lying along the Island Main Road in Dieppe Bay by a motorist who was driving through the area.

     

    The matter was reported to the police sometime before 9:00 p.m., and on arrival at the scene ranks observed that Romney had what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds about his body.

     

    The scene was also visited by the District Medical Officer, who pronounced him dead.

     

    Personnel from the Forensic Services Unit processed the scene and several items of evidential value were taken into custody.  
      
    As investigations continue, the police are are urging members of the public who might have information regarding this matter to contact the Violent Crimes Unit by dialling 467-1887, 467-1888, 662-3468, their nearest police station or the Crime Hotline at 707, where it could be given anonymously.
