The injured man was identified as Nigel Browne of St. Johnston Avenue and the driver as Ian Bolus of Station Street, Old Road.

The accident occurred sometime after 8:00 p.m. on the day in question along the F.T. Williams Highway.

According to a police press release, investigations revealed that the accident had involved a SUV (P4482), which is owned by Ellecia Dasent-Hendrickson of Basseterre but was driven by Bolus, and pedestrian Browne.

Circumstances surrounding the accident are that Bolus was travelling west along the Highway and Browne, a pedestrian, was crossing the road when he was struck by the vehicle.
