BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, 19th November 2009 (PAM Secretariat) - Earlier this week, Deputy Prime Minister Sam Condor was spotted sleeping on the job.

One witness to the event was Parliamentarian Shawn Richards who commented, "Imagine what would happen if your boss caught you sleeping on the job. You'd be fired. We have a lot of problems in the Federation - from the crime and murder crisis to education to the crushing national debt. We need people who are energetic about tackling these issues and improving people's lives. If Sam Condor is too tired or too sleepy to do his job, I'm sure that PAM Candidate for Change in his constituency, Bernard Welsh, would gladly step in."

Mr. Welsh added, "As your Parliamentarian, I will not be too tired to take on the tough challenges. I will not close my eyes in the face of the crime and murder crisis that has spiraled out of control under Labour's watch. Nor will I dose off when I could be working to improve education or reduce our crushing national debt. I will be an active and energetic member of parliament who will be a tireless fighter for the people of my constituency. As Sam Condor's boss, come the next election, you have the opportunity to fire him for sleeping on the job."
