BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - JUST hours after an armed bandit had robbed an employee of a business establishment in Old Road of a bag contained several valuable items and an undisclosed sum of cash in the wee hours of Saturday (Mar. 11), a masked individual had attempted to rob a female of her belongings but failed after she resisted.
According to a police report, the incident had occurred in the Camps area.
Preliminary investigations revealed that sometime after 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, a masked assailant had approached a woman, who was walking towards her home, and demanded that she hand over her bag.
The assailant attempted to take the bag from the woman but she resisted and screamed for help, which resulted in the assailant fleeing the scene.
The report indicated that nothing was taken from the victim or was she injured during the incident.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing and the police are urging anyone with information concerning this incident to contact the Basseterre Police Station by dialling 465-2241, the nearest police station or the Crime Hotline at 707.
