Nevis - a great hiking destination, says Porthole Magazine

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS-Friday, November 20, 2009) - A December 2009 article in Porthole Magazine will feature Nevis as a great hiking destination.
 
The very intriguing article is a result of writer, Richard Varr’s participation on a press trip to Nevis in June 2008.
 
Mr. Varr details the historic water source trail and informs the reader that the “Source trail” shows up on Nevis maps as far back as the 1600’s.
 
Mr. Devon Liburd, Marketing Officer of the Nevis Tourism Authority said the article goes beyond showcasing just the hotels and nightlife of the island. 
 
According to Mr. Liburd, “The article lays out many of the natural aspects of the island; the primates, the source trail, the fruits and the medicinal plants which are very important to any nature lover who visits Nevis.”
