BASSETERRE, St. Kitts,(November 22nd 2009 ((PAM Public Relations Office) -The Youth 4 Change (Young Pamites) has announced plans for a Jouvert Morning Troupe for this years 2009/10 Carnival Celebrations.
The Pamites will be launching shortly the “Bold N Gold Jouvert Warriors” Jouvert Troupe. It will be the 21st anniversary since the PAMITES last organized a Jouvert Troupe the last time being during the 1988/89 Carnival.
“We felt that we needed to play a part in enhancing and uplifting the carnival and jouvert morning experience with a Jouvert Troupe like no other ,” said a member of the Youths 4 Change (Young Pamites) group. “The troupe will give you a carnival day and jouvert morning experience with costumed accessories, t-shirts, rags, whistles and gold/yellow body paint,” the member continued.
The very special Jouvert celebration will start on Christmas Day at 11pm with a pre-jouvert Bold N Gold Fete leading into the Jouvert morning Jam.
Registration for the Jouvert Troupe has begun and demand packages have been overwhelming according to sources close to the organizing committee of the Jouvert Band. Registration can be done at the PAM Secretariat on Church Street or online at http://www.pamforchange.com.
Each reveler will be given a “Gold”Package which will include a T-Shirt, Rag, Whistle, Golden Spear or Golden Bow and Arrow, and registration bracelet.
The event and the Jouvert troupe will feature music by the Kollision Band and the Sweetest BAND in the world Small Axe.
