BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TWO masked bandits on Sunday (Apr. 23) had robbed a supermarket on Cayon Street of an undisclosed sum of cash over the weekend, leaving the store owner traumatized.
The incident occurred at 10:27 p.m. on the day in question at the supermarket, which is located opposite Uncle T’s Reataurant.
Police, in a media statement, said that that after responding to the report and interviewing the owner of the supermarket, it was disclosed that two masked men dressed in black clothing had entered the establishment and demanded money.
The owner explained that one of the men had brandished a gun, and both of them stole a sum of money from the cash register and subsequently fled the scene through an alley north of the supermarket.
The scene was processed by members of the Crime Scene Unit and items of evidential value were collected.
Police noted that investigations into the matter are ongoing and the public’s assistance in the pursuit of justice would be greatly appreciated.
