Sugar Bowl pleased with Birthday Bash; Nevis event on Friday

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN extremely large amount of patrons turned out Saturday (Nov. 21) to party with the Federation’s number one radio personality, Leslie ‘Sugarbowl’ Morton. Morton is currently employed at SKNVibes, where he is a host on PEP Radio and also the host of PEP TV. 

His party was held at Club Kactus and featured a number of top sounds and bands from the Federation including Nu Vybes, Grand Masters, Small Axe, Evolution Sounds, DJ Yardy and Sweet Sister Sensia. 

The party also featured free food all night with Ital of Watch No Face, Cook Up from Village Snackett, Fish Water from De S&M Snackette and Goat Water from BCA. Morton, who celebrated his birthday on November 22, said that his party and birthday celebration were the best he has had in years and he was really impressed with the turnout. 

“It was a lot of people and I was really impressed with the turnout. It was one of the best parties and the best birthday celebration I’ve had in awhile,” he said. 

He has been hosting the parties for seven years and has held three at De Pumkin, three at Club Kactus and one at Fair View Inn. 

This will be the third year he is hosting a party in Nevis. Although three of the major bands were scheduled to perform for the party in Nevis, the Grand Masters Band will be unable to perform. “Due to circumstances beyond my control, they will be unable to play,” he said. 

The celebration continues this Friday, Nov. 27, in Nevis at Club Deja Vu, with Odisi Band, Evolution Sounds and Recklife International. Admission for the party is $25 before 12 and $30 after. 

There will also be gate prizes from Bloyd. A LIME phone is also up for grabs, and it can be won by anyone who texts the number on his/her wristband to 7568.
