Four Bills for debate at Thursday’s National Assembly

     BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 24TH 2009 (CUOPM) – Four bills will be debated when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets on Thursday.
     
    It will be the fourth meeting of the lawmaking body in as many weeks.
     
    Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Dr. the Hon. Dennis Merchant will pilot through all three stages The Interpretation and General Clauses (Amendment) Bill, 2009 and The Statutes (Amendment) Bill, 2009.
     
    Minister of Public Works, Utilities, Transport and Posts, Dr. the Hon. Earl Asim Martin will lead the debate on The Merchant Shipping (Amendment) (No.2) Bill, 2009.
     
    The International Trade in Wild fauna and Flora Bill, 2009 will be piloted through the law making body by Minister of Housing, Agriculture, Fisheries and Cooperatives, the Hon. Cedric Liburd.
     
    Minister of Health, Social and Community Development and Gender Affiars, the Hon. Rupert Herbert will lead the debate on The Solid Waste Management (Amendment) Bill, 2009.
