BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AKEEM SAGE, whom police had previously charged with the offence of Robbery, was slapped with three additional charges following the execution of a search warrant on his Central Fiennes Avenue residence.
According to a police press release, the additional three charges levelled against Sage were for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Robbery.
The previous Robbery charge was allegedly committed at Cayon Stree on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, while the additional charges were committed on Friday, May 12, 2023.
In a previous press release, it was stated that on the evening of Friday (May 12), officers from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force had executed a warrant that permitted them to search Sage’s home and its immediate environs for weapons, illegal drugs and other items suspected of being used in the commission of a crimeon.
On searching his home, the officers had discovered one Smith & Wesson 32 Caliber Revolver with five matching rounds of live ammunition.
The search was extended to an abandoned building adjacent to Sage’s home, where the officers found one Jansport backpack, a mask and other articles of clothing, as well as other items of evidential value, which led to the additional charges.
