BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - PRINCE PATTERSON of Wades Garden was charged with the offense of Robbery for an April incident.
Police disclosed in a media statement that Patterson was formally charged for the crime which he allegedly committed on April 23, 2023 at “The Grocery Store,” a community store located opposite Uncle T’s” Restaurant on Cayon Street.
According to the statement, Patterson was charged after he was identified as the second individual in the armed robbery. The first individual, Akeem Sage, was previously identified, arrested and was charged on May 14.
In a previous media statement, police said that two masked bandits on Sunday (Apr. 23) had robbed a supermarket on Cayon Street of an undisclosed sum of cash over the weekend, leaving the store owner traumatized.
At that time, police did not reveal the name of the business establishment, only noting that the armed robbery occurred at 10:27 p.m. at a supermarket located opposite Uncle T’s Restaurant.
Police explained that two masked men dressed in black clothing had entered the establishment and demanded money. The owner explained that one of the men had brandished a gun, and both of them stole a sum of money from the cash register and subsequently fled the scene through an alley north of the supermarket.
