Another busy day for cruise industry stakeholders

Carnival Miracle and Sea Princess berth at Port Zante

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 25TH 2009 (CUOPM) – It’s another busy day for stakeholders in the cruise industry Wednesday with the arrival of three ships with 4,557 passengers.

     

    The 1,950-passenger Sea Princess arrived with 2,399 passengers and 921 crew from St. Lucia and will depart for Florida.

     

    The 2,680-passenger Carnival Miracle arrived with 2,013 passengers and 851 crew from St. Thomas and departs at 4 pm for Antigua. The 255-passenger Royal Clipper arrived from Antigua with 145 passengers and 107 crew and leaves for Guadeloupe at 5 p.m.

     

    The parade of ships began Sunday with the arrival of the 1,692-passenger Ocean Village. Two ships with a capacity of 5,100 passengers are expected on Thursday with the arrival of the 2,600-passenger Queen Mary and the 2,500 passenger Norwegian Dawn. The 3,473-passenger Carnival Victory and the 3,100-passenger Ruby Princess berth on Saturday 28th November with 6,500 passengers.

     

    The Braemar with a passenger capacity of 820 docked on Monday 23rd; the 308-passenger Windsurf visited on Tuesday 24th and the 40-passenger Silver Shadow will arrive on Friday 27th.

     

    Eight of the 11 ships visiting this week are making their first calls for the 2009/2010 cruise ship season. They are the Carnival Miracle, the Braemar, Windsurf, Norwegian Dawn, Queen Mary, Silver Shadow, Ruby Princess and Ocean Village.
