BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - LESS than 24 hours after a 20-year-old male and a 43-year-old female were killed in a drive-by shooting incident, another man was this morning (June 6) shot and killed in St. Kitts.
When contacted, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cromwell Henry confirmed that ranks had responded to reports of a “fatal shooting” on the FT Williams Highway.
A press release from the Police Force stated that the incident occurred between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. on the F.T. Williams Highway in the vicinity of La Guerite.
It also stated that upon arrived at the scene, ranks found the motionless body of 47-year-old Alden 'OJ' Maynard of Gillard Meadows in his vehicle with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected items of evidential value.
Investigations into this incident are ongoing.
Maynard's death has taken to 15, the number of homicides committed in the Federation for the year.
