BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are probing another shooting incident in the Federation as criminal activities continue to increase on a regular basis.
The shooting incident occurred yesterday (June 22) between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in Conaree.
In a media statement, police said that while 19-year-old Ajani Evans of Conaree was working at GLO Car Wash, he was accosted by an armed assailant who fired a shot that struck him in the region of his abdomen.
A private vehicle had transported Evans to the Joseph N France Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and is said to be warded there in stable condition.
Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected items of evidential value.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
Only four days ago, Hance Lawrence, also of Conaree, escaped unscathed after some 12 bullets were fired in his direction while he was entering his yard.
