BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are probing an armed robbery of a business establishment in the St. Paul’s area.
According to a police report, two armed, masked individuals had entered the Lover’s Lane business establishment between 11:15 p.m and 11:45 p.m. on Friday (July 7) and ordered everyone present to lie on the ground.
The bandits then proceeded to steal undisclsed sums of money and items from the cash register and the shop owner, as well as personal items from a number of patrons.
Police noted that a single round was discharged during the incident but no one was reportedly injured.
There has been an uptick in the number of criminal activities occurring in the Federation in recent weeks that gave rise to concerns from the public, which led the Police Force to rollout a number of intiatives, including patrols in hotspot areas, to combat the problem.
