BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have identified the individual who was shot and killed last evening (Jul. 19) in St. Paul’s as 29-year-old Jermaine Jules of Grove Village, St. Paul’s.
In a media statement, police said the incident occurred between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and preliminary investigations revealed that while Jules was riding his bicycle on Rawlins Avenue, an armed assailant fired a number of shots in his direction.
He was struck multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at the sceme of the crime.
Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and collected a number of items of evidential value, as investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Jermaine Jules’ death has taken to 19 the number of homicides committed in the Federation for this year.
