BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TAIJEAN NISBETT of Shaw Avenue was slapped with two cocaine-related charges after he was allegedly found to be in possession of the illegal substance.
He was charged at the Sandy Point Police Station on Sunday (Jul. 23) with the offences of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with intent to supply.
According to a police report, on Friday (Jul. 21) ranks from the Anti-Narcotics Unit and the Special Services Unit had executed a search warrant on a residence where Nisbett was found.
During the search, “the officers located twenty-four pieces of a solid white substance suspected to be cocaine wrapped in foil paper, and a plastic zipper storage bag containing a white powdery substance also suspected to be cocaine”.
The suspected narcotic was taken into custody and subsequently confirmed to be cocaine.
The police however did not indicate why they executed a search warrant on the residence or whether Nisbett is the owner of the property or if any other persons who reside at the location would also be charged.
