...Police seek public's assistance in finding perpetrator
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN their continuous quest of making St. Kitts and Nevis a safer place for citizens, residents and visitors to the Federation, members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) have removed yet another illegal firearm and a number of ammunition off the streets.
In a media release, police stated that during a joint operation between the Special Services and the Anti-Narcotics Units yesterday (Aug. 2) at the Len Harris Cricket Academy in Warner Park, a search of the dome’s interior resulted in the discovery of a Diamond Back P9 9mm Semi-automatic Pistol with a magazine containing 12 rounds of matching ammunition.
The scene was processed by personnel of the Crime Scene Unit who took the illegal firearm and ammunition into custody.
No one was arrested, but the RSCNPF has reiterated its appeal to the public for information that could lead to the apprehension and successful prosecution of the perpetrator(s) of this crime and perpetrators of past criminal matters by contacting the nearest police station.
