Naming ceremony at Warner Park on Saturday

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 30TH 2009 – Three outstanding citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis in the field of sport, will have facilities at Warner Park named in their honour later this week.

     

    Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Mr. Lloyd Lazar disclosed that the netball complex will be named in honour of Ms. Pam Tyson, netball administrator; the cricket pavilion in honour of the late Mr. Calvin Wilkin, former St. Kitts, Leeward Islands and Combined Islands cricketer and the Cricket Media Centre in honour of the late C. A. Paul Southwell, former cricket commentator and sports enthusiast.

     

    The historic naming ceremony will be held in the Court Yard at Warner Park on Saturday 5th December 2009 at 4 p.m.

     

    Speaking on behalf of the awardees will be Ms. Marcella Liburd, Mr. Charles Wilkin, Q.C. and Mr. Stanley Franks Jr.
