PAM’S Media Conference to review government’s first year in office

By: PAM, Press Release

BASSETERRE ST KITTS, 9 August, 2023 -- The People’s Action Movement will host a Media Conference to review the performance of the government’s first year in office. The Media Conference which will be held at its headquarters in Lockhart street on Thursday 10th August, will be streamed live on its Facebook and YouTube pages.

“We deem this our patriotic duty as a responsible Opposition Party and alternative government to stand in the vanguard of monitoring the proper management and administration of the people’s business,” said Party Leader and Member of Parliament, the Hon Shawn Richards. “Our assessment of this administration’s stewardship therefore, will be based on the extent to which they have been able to deliver on their promises; many of which they vowed to deliver, or be well on their way to delivering in their first year in office,” he added.

The party’s review will center around five critical areas, which will be carefully examined to determine the government’s overall performance. The invited media will be allowed to respond to the Opening Presentation of the Party’s Leaders or any other matter they find fit to raise.

Supporting the Hon Shawn Richards at the head table will be Deputy Political Leaders – Jonel Powell and Natasha Grey-Brookes, and Party Chairman, Azard Gumbs.

The People’s Action Movement has committed to meeting with the media every quarter to add its voice to the debate on national issues.  The next event will be held in November, 2023.
