BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A young man is currently warded at the Joseph N France General Hospital after falling victim to a shooting incident in Fortlands this morning (Aug. 19).
According to a police media statement, the victim’s name was given as 28-year-old Dave Henry of Fiennes Avenue, and the incident occurred between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Preliminary investigations revealed that while driving home, Davis was fired upon by a number of assailants, which caused him to crash his vehicle.
Unfortunately, however, in an attempt to escape his attackers, he was shot to his left arm.
The wounded man then sought assistance from the Police Force’s Special Services Unit (SSU) base in Fortlands, from where officers transported him to the hospital.
The scene was processed by ranks of the Crime Scene Unit who collected a number of items of evidential value.
