Basseterre, St. Kitts - Six (6) junior chefs participating in the In Ya Kitchen Top Junior Chef competition have been recognized for their outstanding culinary skills by the TDC Home and Building Depots.
The gastronomic rising stars Jahmoy Woodley, Devote Edwards, Mahailah France, Naemah Smith, Kaylieyonna Robin and Nazima Cozier participated in three (3) keenly contested semifinals held recently at the Sweet and Savory Kitchen, in Frigate Bay.
The young food prodigies who created their unique delicious masterpieces made with a local fruit or vegetable, took home a variety of name brand kitchen and cooking equipment from the retail stores, including slow cookers, skillets, and electronic griddles to assist them in their pursuits.
According to Mr. Kashka Thompson, the TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager who was on hand to witness the mouthwatering showdown stated, “The TDC Home and Building Depots chose to partner with the In Ya Kitchen Team to give our Youth an opportunity to nurture their cooking talents through creativity.”
The three (3) finalists from the respective semifinals, Kaylieyonna Robin, Naemah Smith, and Devonte Edwards all qualified for their chance to go to head-to-head in the finals.
The ultimate showdown will be held on 17th September 2023, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort where they will compete in a cook off for the chance to be named the In Ya Kitchen Junior Top Chef.
