BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men of interest, whom they believe could assist with their investigation into the stabbing-death of 24-year-old Kevonne Smithen of New Road.
Wanted bulletins were issued for 21-year-old Danny Blake and 22-year-old Elvis Blake.
Danny is described as being 5’6” tall with brown eyes and black hair, while Elvis is also 5’6” with brown eyes and black hair.
In a previous media statement, police said that while Smithen was working at a gas station on Victoria Road between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.on Monday (Sept. 11), two men had accosted and stabbed him several times.
The statement noted that on receipt of reports of the incident, ranks of the Violent Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigation Department responded, and, upon arrival they observed Smithen’s motionless body on the ground with multiple stab wounds and “a knife lodged in his back”.
Police also revealed that the assailants “reportedly struck and stabbed him about the body several times before fleeing the scene. Mr. Smithen succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene”.
As investigations are ongoing, the police are asking anyone who might have information of this matter to contact the nearest police station or the Violent Crimes Unit.
