BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AN autopsy report has revealed the cause of 32-year-old Deonja Z. Finley’s death, who was found lying motionless with multiple gunshot injuries on Saturday (Sept. 23).
According to the Police Force, Finley died as a result of “massive left hemothorax and hemoperitoneum due to multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and back”.
That, according to the Force, means that there was “extreme internal and hemorraging into the chest and abdominal cavities”.
Police reported to the media that on September 23, Finley was found lying down on the road along Old Road Bay on St. Kitts.
He was shortly thereafter transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment where it was discovered that he had multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Owing to the extent of his injuries, he succumbed during emergency surgery.
Finley’s death has taken to 22, the number of homicides recorded for the year in the Federation.
