BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - SLEUTHS of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force have made a breakthrough in the recent robbery at InstaCash and an individual was charged for commiting the crime.
In a media statement, police said that Jahmal Kentish of Stonefort Heights, Challengers was charged on two warrants in the first instance for the offence of Robbery committed at InstaCash.
He was arrested on Wednesday (Oct. 18) and subsequently charged on Friday (Oct. 20) at the Basseterre Police Station.
In a previous media statement, police informed that between 11:30hrs and 12:00hrs on Saturday (Oct. 14), a robbery took place at InstaCash, located at the S.L. Horsford’s Commercial Complex in Basseterre.
Preliminary investigation indicated that a masked man had entered the establishment, held the clerk at gunpoint and stole an undisclosed sum of money and other items of value before making good his escape.
Ranks of the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value.
