BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ONCE again criminal elements are engaged in depriving individuals of their hard-owned cash, especially business owners, as lawmen are currently probing an armed robbery of a supermarket.
A media statement from the Police Force’s Public Relations Office informed that ranks are investigating a robbery that took place early yesterday morning (Oct. 23) at a supermarket in Old Road.
The PRO indicated that the robbery occurred between 0:6hrs and o:7hrs, and that preliminary investigations revealed that while the supermarket was open to patrons, four armed, masked assailants had entered the main entrance.
They then robbed the establishment of an unknown sum of money before making good their escape.
Members of the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and collected items of evidential value.
