Female, male bandits rob driver of his passenger bus

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are seeking the publc’s assistance in bringing two bandits - a male and female - to justice for robbing a driver of his passenger bus on Friday (Nov. 3).

     

    A release from the Public Relations Office of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force stated that the robbery occurred between 23:30 hrs and 24:00hrs in Bellevue.

     

    Preliminary investigations revealed that the duo, under the guise of passengers, was travelling in the bus from Basseterre. However, when the bus had stopped in the vicinity of Black Rocks for them to disembark, the duo accosted the driver and forced him out of the vehicle and drove it away. 

     

    The vehicle was later found ransacked and abandoned on a dirt road in the Estridge area. 

     

    Personnel of the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. 

     

    As investigations are ongoing, the Police Force is encouraging anyone who might have information regarding this and/or other criminal matters to call the nearest police station or the Crime Stoppers’ Hotline at 707.
