ROSEAU, Dominica - LAW enforcement officers in Dominica are probing the discovery of more than EC$8 million worth of cocaine.
The discovery was made on Saturday (Nov. 4) by the Drug Squad of the Dominica Police Force in Petite Soufriere.
In disclosing the information, Inspector Fixton Henderson said that around 7:18 p.m. officers descended on the area and seized 10 bales of cocaine hidden in bushes.
According to Inspector Henderson, each bale contained 25 bricks of cocaine with a total weight of 300 kilograms or 660 lbs.
The matter remains under investigation.
