BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ANOTHER firearm and a quantity of ammunition were taken off the Federation’s streets, along with a quantity of suspected Cocaine.
According to a media statement from the Public Relations Office of the Police Force, ranks from the Narcotics Unit made the discovery yesterday (Nov. 16) during a routine search of two abandoned buildings in the McKnight area.
The statement indicated that on searching one of the abandoned buildings, officers discovered one Glock 21gen4 .45 auto pistol with a magazine containing three hollow point .45 matching rounds, as well as 10 ball point .45 rounds of ammunition.
Searching the other abandoned building, the discovered one large transparent zip-lock bag containing nine pieces of foil paper with a white substance suspected to be Cocaine; one small transparent zip-lock bag with a white powdery substance also suspected to be Cocaine, and portions of a brown substance suspected to be tobacco.
The search operation was conducted sometime between 12:00hrs and 4:00hrs on the day in question.
So far, no one was held accountable for the discoveries, but investigation into the matters are ongoing.
