Update on St. Peter’s double homicide

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have provided an update on yesterday’s (Nov. 22) double double homicice in St. Peter’s and are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

     

    Police, in a media statement, have identified the homicide victims as 29-year-old Lequani T. James and 24-year-old Kevin Collins, both of Upper Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s.

     

    The third individual, who was injured during the shooting incident, was identified as Kejaun Connanier of Carty Alley, Newtown.

     

    Police explained that on response to reports of the shooting incident, officers, on arrival at the scene, had observed James and Collins lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

     

    Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene, while Connanier had sustained gunshot injuries to both of his legs.

     

    He was subsequently transported by ambulance to the Joseph N France General Hospital, where he was treated and currently warded.

     

    Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and took a number of items of evidential value into custody. 

     

    As investigations continue, the Police Force is urgimg members of the public who might have information about this matter to contact the nearest police station or call the Crime Stoppers’ Hotline at 707.
