BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have charged Jahvin Lake of Pleasant View, Shadwell with the offence of Possession of Ammunition.
According to a media statement, he was charged at the Basseterre Police Station on Saturday (Dec. 3) for the offence he allegedly committed on Thursday (Nov. 30).
Lake’s arrest and subsequent charge came against the backdrop of the police seeking to step up their efforts to combat the growing crime problem that is currently plaguing the Federation.
In recent weeks, there has been an upsurge in criminal activities, more specifically gun violence, and as of last month the Federation has recorded 28 homicides for the year, which is more than all of 2022.
