BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A male resident of College Housing was on Monday (Dec. 4) charged for a number of drugs-related offences at the Basseterre Police Station.
He is Keon Hewlett, whom police said was caught trying to evade officers while importing illicit substances on Saturday (Dec. 2).
Police have charged him on two warrants for the offences of Importation and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.
He was also charged by the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department for Submitting a False Declaration to a Customs Officer, Importation of a quantity of Cannabis Sativa, Importation of Restricted Goods to wit Cannabis Sativa, and knowingly Attempting to Fraudulently Evade Customs.
