BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Police Force disclosed that 42-year-old Chelston ‘Ink’ Harvey of Phillip’s Village was the person who succumbed to injuries following a stabbing incident.
In an issued statement, police explained that the “deceased was observed as having a number of puncture wounds to the body, indicating he had been stabbed”.
The statement also said that when officers arrived at the scene they found the man lying motionless.
Harvey’s death has taken to 29, the number of homicides recorded for 2023, and the numbers continue to raise alarms across the Federation.
Law enforcement officials have stepped up their efforts to combat the growing crime problem, especially during the Christmas season, and of concern for them is the fact that many of the homicides have been carried out using firearms.
Officials have been and are working feverishly to determine how the illegal weapons are making their way on the streets of the Federation.
