BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have made a breakthrough in their investigation into the death of 42-year-old Chelston T. Harvey, alias ‘Ink’s, as they have charged a juvenile with the offence of Manslaughter.
In a media statement yesterday (Dec. 14), police revealed that they had formally charged a 17-year-old male on the previous day for the offence, but, because of him being a juvenile, he would not be identified at this time.
On Sunday (Dec. 10), police had responded to a report of an unresponsive male in the Phillip’s area. Upon arrival, they found Harvey lying motionless and was examined and pronounced dead.
An autopsy report from resident Pathologist, Dr Naudica A. Phillip concluded that Harvey died as a result of “hypovolemic shock due to penetrating wound to the heart”.
Harvey’s death has taken to 29, the number of homicides recorded for the year.
