BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- THE Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Adlai Smith has confirmed that charges have been filed against nine individuals for failing to file their Integrity in Public Life declarations in the stipulated time.
According to a press statement issued late this evening, the individuals range from the National Broadcaster, to the Judiciary, to Ports Authority, to the Public Service Commission.
The DPP provided the names of the nine persons who failed to comply, with the numbers of compliant individuals increasing to 90 percent.
“While I have been made aware that at least one public official has filed since the deadline, that name has still been listed because the deadline of 26 th January 2024 was the final deadline. Summonses are presently being prepared by the Court registry and will be served in due course,” DPP Smith said in his press statement.
