SKELEC distributes love baskets to former employees

    Basseterre, St. Kitts (22nd February, 2024) -- Employees of the St. Kitts Electricity Company Ltd. (SKELEC) embarked on a journey throughout the island on Wednesday 14th February to distribute love baskets in honour of Valentine's Day to former employees of the company. Representatives from various divisions within the company came together to distribute the love baskets to six former employees.

     

    The recipients of these love baskets were:

     

    • Ronald 'Country Boy' Isaac – Former Shift Charge Supervisor
    • Sydney Matthew - Former Chief Consumer Clerk
    • Donley Greaux - Former Technical Assistant – Protection
    • Samuel Stokes - Former Mechanic
    • Phillip Julius – Former Operator
    • William 'Tell' Browne – Former Meter Reader

     

    Mr. Clement Williams, general manager of SKELEC, expressed he is deeply honoured to partake in our annual Love Basket distribution, particularly as we extend our appreciation to retired employees who dedicated their careers to our company. “This initiative underscores our steadfast commitment to caring for those who have contributed significantly, embodying the values of gratitude and generosity that define our
    company culture. Together, we not only illuminate homes but also hearts, spreading warmth and appreciation throughout our SKELEC family and beyond,” Williams said.

     

    The Love Basket Distribution is among SKELEC's numerous community initiatives conducted throughout the year. This initiative is specifically designed to honour the service of the company's retired employees. Annually, six recipients are randomly selected to receive these baskets. Through this initiative, the company aims to spread joy and love to its former employees, reflecting its ongoing dedication to fostering a sense of community and appreciation.
