Fiennes Avenue resident receives sentencing for robbery

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- FOLLOWING multiple court appearances, authorities have announced the sentencing of Jamal Slack, a resident of Fiennes Avenue, to His Majesty’s Prison for two counts of Demanding with Menace and one count of Robbery.

     

    In a media statement shared on social media platforms, law enforcement disclosed that the crimes took place on June 22nd, 2020, and July 24th, 2020, respectively. According to police reports, Slack has been sentenced to serve 22 months in prison for the two counts of Demanding with Menace committed on June 22nd, 2020. Additionally, he has received a 78-month sentence for the Robbery committed on July 24th, 2020.

     

    Authorities have specified that Slack's total sentence of 100 months has been reduced to 96 months, equivalent to 8 years. "His sentences are to run concurrently," stated the police in their social media announcement. The judgement was rendered on April 12th, 2024, by His Lordship Justice Iain Morley, KC.
