BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- UPPER Market Street resident, Eason Gaiton has been slapped with additional charges by the police.
He has been given an additional charge of murder and two counts of attempted murder following the police force’s investigation into a 2022 homicide.
In a media statement issued today (May 6), the police explained that the young man has been charged with the murder of Jomarie Stapleton and the attempted murder of Antonio Lestrade and Hajan Calbourne. The charges are in addition to the murder charge for the death of Junior Mervin Stephens, committed on July 10th, 2022.
According to the police, the offenses surrounding the additional charges occurred on May 30th, 2018. Gaiton has been on remand since his initial charge for Stephen’s murder, the police said.
