CHARLESTOWN, Nevis -- Incidents of shootings continue in the Federation, with a man narrowly escaping harm on Nevis.
According to a police media statement, the latest shooting occurred in Hamilton, Nevis, on May 5th between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Preliminary investigations by the police have revealed that shortly after leaving his home, Raphael Wallace Jr. (of Hamilton) was accosted by a masked assailant while in his vehicle.
Wallace reported to the police that the assailant approached from the side and fired several times at his vehicle before escaping into nearby shrubbery. No injuries were sustained during the attack.
This latest incident comes at a time when the Federation has seen an increase in instances of gun violence. The police force and other law enforcement agencies have stepped up their efforts to stem the problem.
