BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- Police have confirmed that the recently opened Hey! Young Chinese Supermarket in College Street Ghaut was robbed on Tuesday night (May 21).
According to their official statement, the robbery took place between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
An assailant wearing a mask entered the establishment, stole a sum of money from the cash register, and then fled the scene.
In recent weeks, there has been an increase in criminal activity in the Federation, notably in shooting incidents.
The police force has initiated several measures to address this issue.
