Grand Masters to showcase new album at Pon De Edge tonight

By: Suelika N. Creque, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE undisputed best band on the island, Grand Masters, will be showcasing their newly released Carnival 2009/2010 album tonight at the Pon De Edge II Bar and Entertainment Lounge at 7 p.m. following their release last night on ZIZ Radio.

The back to back Road March Champs will be performing music off their new album ‘Mek Dem Surrender’ with which the band is hoping to have a triple Road March victory.

According to Wingrove Hicks, Manager of the band, the album is filled with great songs and any one of them could be a Road March hit, but they would let the fans decide which songs they should push. In terms of the name, ‘Mek Dem Surrender’, he said it came from comments made by other bands that have already released their music stating that they are not interested in the Road March title.

"It’s like we made them surrender early,” he said.

Along with the pep music from the reigning Road March Champs, DJ Yardy will also be performing some early juggling.
